Issues

Tim has developed a good fundamental understanding of how our city functions as well as the skills and experience necessary to become an effective Councilor.  His key areas of concern are homelessness, innovative affordable housing, preservation and improvement of existing rental stock, Council accountability, community sustainability models, neighbourhood land-use planning, transportation, and parks.

Tim has participated in numerous land-use and planning projects.  He has worked with local, national, and international architects, land-use planners, and marine/environmental consultants. Tim has worked cooperatively on a variety of projects with Federal and Provincial Ministers from various parties and their staff.  He has also worked with Victoria Mayors and Council and extensively with City staff over the past 17 years.

Tim is a recognized team player.

Tim believes that Victoria must become a more sustainable city.  We must strive towards a smaller footprint on our environment.  Initiatives which would forward this objective involve every aspect of the way we live including the creation and use of our greenways and parks, the design of our buildings, our transportation systems, the noise we create, and the chemicals we release into the air, water and soil.
