About Tim
Personal
Tim has been married to Kathryn for 26 years. Together they have raised their daughter in the James Bay area of Victoria.
Tim spent his early years in Edmonton, coming to Victoria 31 years ago. Since settling in Victoria, Tim has worked as a letter-carrier and as a facilitator-trainer for many Canada Post letter-carriers in Victoria.
Tim has been actively involved, in leadership positions, with civic affairs for the past 17 years.
Tim’s leisure activities include gardening, wine-making and gathering with friends. Vacations and free weekends find Tim and his family up-island, in the Mt Washington area.
Tim’s preferred mode of transportation, aside from walking, is public transit.

· Chair, James Bay Neighbourhood Association (since inception in 1993)
· Head, JBNA Development Review Committee
· Member, Fisherman’s Wharf Advisory Committee, working towards the redesign of Fisherman’s Wharf Park
· Participates in Committee which developed the Victoria CALUC land-use model
· Vice-Chair and Member (4 terms), City of Victoria Advisory Transportation Committee
· Founding & continuing Director, Ogden Point Enhancement Society
· Founding Chair & continuing Director, Victoria Esquimalt Harbour Society
Past Community Involvement
· Member, City of Victoria Advisory Planning Commission (3 terms - 2 as Chair and 1 as Vice Chair)
· Member, Mayor's Blue Ribbon Task Force for Belleville St. Terminal
· Member, City of Victoria Advisory Liquor Licensing Committee
· Seconded by Canada Post to the Unitied Way of Greater Victoria for 3 campaigns
· Director, James Bay Community Project
· Regular columnist to the James Bay Beacon Newspaper
· Board Director, Victoria Federal Employees Credit Union (3 terms)
· President and Vice President, Letter Carriers Union of Canada Victoria Local
